How far in advance do I need to order a standard flavor, like your famous strawberry cake?
For a standard 8” size of our strawberry cake, we prefer 48 hours. BUT all of our stores have plenty of those freshly baked each day. Call to reserve one or just go into one of our stores to pick one up.
How far in advance do I need to place a custom cake order in a non-standard size or with in specialized decorations?
We need at least 48 hours to prepare your EXTRA special cakes.
How do I place an order?
Please contact us at 205.987.0790, or come into one of our stores and speak with an associate. To maintain personalized service in our stores, all phone calls are redirected to each location. You can also schedule cakes for pick-up and order many of our other products online at Our New Online Store
What are your stores hours?
We are open Monday thru Saturday, 6:30am-6:00pm. We are closed on Sundays.
In what quantities are your cupcakes sold?
Our cupcakes are sold individually and by the dozen, and can be mixed and matched in anyway possible.
Do your cakes or products need to be refrigerated?
Some of our products that contain cream cheese must be refrigerated, like our Strawberry cake or Lemon cake. Others can not be refrigerated, like cakes that are covered in fondant or butter cream.
Do you deliver your products?
Yes, we would be happy to! We deliver within the Birmingham area. Please contact the catering coordinator at events@edgarsbakery.com or 205.987.0790 for assistance.

How far in advance should I schedule a wedding cake consultation?
Wedding planning involves lots of fun and exciting details to make your special day perfect. To choose your beautiful wedding cake, we recommend that you schedule a consultation at least 3-4 months prior to your wedding date. Wedding cake appointments include a personalized cake tasting and one-on-one design consultation with our wedding coordinator.
